Anatomy
Description
The BRO is usually either a light brown to dark yellow color but when agitated or scared, it quickly changes to vivid yellow with bright blue rings. It can grow up to a maximum length of 20 centimeters, when tentacles are stretched, and can weigh up to 100 grams, depending on species. For some context, the average cell phone weighs 100 grams and 20 centimeters is about the length of an unsharpened pencil.
The BRO's class Cepelopoda literally translates into head and foot animal meaning the BRO consists of a head, the mantle, and the foot, or the tentacles. The mantle of the BRO is surrounded by eight muscular tentacles which are partially joined by skin, like a skirt, that comes out from the body and encircles the mouth. The mouth contains the only hard part in a BRO, the beak, which is used in feeding. The mantle contain the gills and organs of the BRO. As air passes across the gills, water pumps in and out through the mantle in a process which allows water to be forced out and used for jet propulsion. The BRO's tentacles contain two rows of suckers which move independently. The tentacles are extremely strong and have the ability to open shells. They can also regenerate if destroyed or damaged.
